Ornamental shrub typically grown for its stunning bright red branches which appear in fall when the leaves drop and dominates the winter garden with colour. Bright green leaves in late Spring and Summer and rather ordinary small white flowers – prune in Spring to 8″ in height, or if larger sizes are desired – remove 25% of old growth each year. Best planted in fertile moist soil – tolerant of boggy wet ground, in full sun or partial shade.
