One of the showiest summer blooming perennials, Monarda (Bee Balm) has a very distinctive, brightly coloured flower-heads that create captivating border displays and provide a great impact when used in mass plantings. The bloom consist of asymmetrical, two-lipped tubular flowers bore in dense, globular terminal heads, which rest upon a whorl of decorative bracts. Exuberant, they spice up summer borders and it is difficult to resist their floral charms.
Grow in full sun to partial shade, in moist but well drained soil. Deer and rabbit resistant, attracts pollinators including butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. Grows to a maximum height of 4 feet high with a spread of 3 feet.
