A distinctive selection of our native Purple Coneflower. Plants are strong and bushy in habit, ideal for borders and growing in mixed containers. Flowers have short non-drooping petals in a rich shade of deep purple-red, surrounding a central brown cone. Flowering begins in midsummer and continues for weeks if faded blooms are regularly removed. Coneflowers are sturdy and easy-care perennials that perform best in a sunny location. Flowers are very attractive to butterflies. Flowers are excellent for fresh or dried arrangements whilst seed heads are useful in dried arrangements.

Plant in full sun, in well drained fertile soil. Deer and rabbit resistant, ideal for beds and borders, formal, informal and cottage gardens as well as flower meadows.
