Narcissus Daffodil Congress is sure to delight and catch your eye with its large 9cm wide flowers. The bright lemon yellow flowers have a bright orange centre. The perfect choice for naturalizing (Spreading) in beds, borders and woodland areas. The name Narcissus comes from the Greek word for narcotic and is tied to the myth of a young man known as Narcissus who fell in love with his own reflection. When he drowned in the pool where he had been admiring himself, Narcissus flowers grew up around the pool. They are used at Ashton’s Garden Centre to line the path on our woodland and fairy walk. They are great for shady woodland, or in full sun. Daffodils are both deer and rabbit resistant making them ideal for our area. Bulbs will be ready for collection in September – we will call to let you know when they have arrived – Bulbs are currently only available for collection – we do not offer a mailing service.
